Stretching over 538 acres, the Forest Park is an oasis of green in Queens, a favorite of the locals for outdoors activities, including golfing, tennis, jogging and more. The park has several playgrounds and other attractions.
The popular Forest Park Carousel is closed in the Winter. Popular events in the park include the Halloween Walk, the Victorian Christmas, and the Nature Trails Day. The Brooklyn–Queens Greenway bicycling and pedestrian path crosses the park.
