A trailblazer of the Chinatown/Lower East Side gallery phenomenon, CANADA opened its doors at the foot of the Manhattan Bridge in 2000. Expect an eclectic programme of events, such as book launches and experimental music shows, alongside the exhibitions.
Its artist/curator/directors strive to support a wide range of work – from paintings and mixed-media installations to performance – by artists such as Devendra Banhart, Michael Mahalchick and Carrie Moyer.
