Description
Iconic sculpture by Picasso
Picasso's Bust of Sylvette is a superb artwork dating from 1967. It was inspired by Sylvette David, and adorns the courtyard of NYU's Silver Towers apartment buildings on Bleecker Street.
This Bust of Sylvette, however, is not an original by Picasso, but an enlargement by Norweigan sculptor Carl Nesjär. The original, signed by Picasso, dates from 1954.
