Popis

Discover the real New York, which goes beyond Manhattan with its great cultural diversity. We'll tour the Bronx, home to hip hop; Queens, where more than 160 languages are spoken; and Brooklyn, with its culture and art.

New York Contrasts Excursion: An immersion in the diversity and authenticity of the city Our sightseeing tour starts at The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel, the pick-up point to take 12th Avenue towards Harlem, where we can learn a little more about the African-American influence and its revivals, passing by the Cotton Club, 125th Street (also known as Martin Luther King Street), the Apollo Theater, and the Brownstone houses that were built in the 19th century and are characterized by their elegant architecture. Leaving Harlem, we arrive in the Bronx, the heart of urban culture and the birthplace of hip-hop. Our first stop will be at the Joker Steps, where the movie of the same name was filmed. We'll continue to our second stop, which will be at Yankee Stadium, where you'll have time to use the restrooms. Continuing the tour, you'll get off at the Big Pun mural and the I Love the Bronx mural, where you can get a glimpse of everyday life in the neighborhood and compare the metro stations with Manhattan. We'll pass by the mural of Amadou Dialo and Jonathan, with stories that shocked New York City. Then we head to Queens, the most multicultural borough, passing over the Whitestone Bridge where you'll see a panoramic view of Manhattan, and enter the Malba neighborhood where we find our first contrast. At this point, you'll have time to enjoy a coffee and use the restrooms. Still in the Queens district, we'll visit Flushing Meadows Corona Park, which is home to the Mets' stadium, the stadium where the Arthur Ashe US Open tennis tournament is held, the Unisphere globe, and the Queens Museum. Passing by Fiorello La Guardia Airport, we continue towards the Brooklyn district, famous for its views and bohemian atmosphere. We'll enter the Williamsburg neighborhood, home to the largest ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, where you can go into one of their bakeries or stores and learn a little more about their culture. We continue to DUMBO, our last stop for those who decide to end the tour there. Dumbo is an iconic place from which you can take unforgettable photos of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. Those who decide to continue will arrive at Chinatown and Mulberry Street, where the sightseeing tour ends. Throughout the tour, our local guides will tell you stories and anecdotes about each neighborhood, showing the essence of New York as a collection of contrasts that together create a unique and authentic experience.
